Diabetes Burnout Syndrome (DBS) merupakan masalah kesehatan mental kritis yang ditandai dengan kelelahan emosional yang secara signifikan menurunkan motivasi pasien dalam perawatan mandiri, meningkatkan risiko komplikasi serius dan depresi. Regimen obat yang kompleks dapat menjadi stresor kronis yang berkontribusi terhadap DBS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kompleksitas regimen obat dengan DBS pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2. Desain cross-sectional digunakan dengan 50 pasien DMT2 yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Kompleksitas regimen obat diukur menggunakan Medication Regimen Complexity Index (MRCI) berdasarkan rekam medis, sedangkan DBS diukur menggunakan Diabetes Burnout Scale (DBS). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman's Rho. Mayoritas pasien memiliki kompleksitas regimen obat kategori sedang (82%) dan DBS sebagian besar pada kategori sedang (56%). Uji Spearman's Rho menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kompleksitas regimen obat dan DBS (r = 0,322, p = 0,023). Kompleksitas regimen obat signifikan positif terhadap DBS pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2, meskipun kekuatan hubungannya lemah. Tenaga kesehatan sebaiknya mempertimbangkan penyederhanaan regimen obat dan melakukan skrining rutin untuk DBS, terutama pada pasien dengan polifarmasi dan komorbiditas.

Medication regimen complexity may serve as a chronic stressor contributing to DBS. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between medication regimen complexity and DBS in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients. A cross-sectional design was employed with 50 T2DM patients selected through purposive sampling. Medication regimen complexity was measured using the Medication Regimen Complexity Index (MRCI) based on medical records, while DBS was assessed using the Diabetes Burnout Scale (DBS). Data were analyzed using Spearman's Rho correlation test. The majority of patients exhibited moderate medication regimen complexity (82%) and moderate DBS (56%). Spearman's Rho test demonstrated a significant positive correlation between medication regimen complexity and DBS (r = 0.322, p = 0.023). Medication regimen complexity demonstrates a significant positive correlation with DBS in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, although the strength of the relationship is weak. Healthcare providers should consider simplifying medication regimens and conducting routine DBS screening, particularly among patients with polypharmacy and comorbidities.
