IMPACT OF THE LORENTZ-VIOLATING PARAMETER ON THE STRUCTURE OF NEUTRON STARS IN BUMBLEBEE GRAVITY

Description

Neutron stars provide a unique environment for probing strong-field gravity and dense nuclear matter simultaneously. In this work, we investigate the influence of Lorentz symmetry breaking, described within the framework of bumblebee gravity, on the internal structure of neutron stars. The spontaneous breaking of Lorentz invariance introduces a dimensionless parameter l, which modifies the stellar structure equations. By solving the modified Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff (TOV) equations for realistic nuclear equations of state, we analyze the resulting mass–radius relations, compactness, and stability conditions. Our results demonstrate that the Lorentz-violating parameter systematically alters the global properties of neutron stars and may lead to observable deviations from general relativity.
