This paper examines socio-economic and mobility changes in Saskatoon between 2006 and 2021. We focus on areas targeted by the City of Saskatoon approved Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) regions and the urban core. We adapted the Canadian Index of Multiple Deprivation (CIMD) to assess change and evaluate whether earlier trends positioned current HAF areas as those most in need of redevelopment, improved transit, and densification. Statistical analysis shows rising economic dependency and car reliance citywide, alongside declining active and transit commuting. Compared to the rest of the city, HAF zones show higher deprivation, though 15-year changes indicate greater improvements in HAF area.
