ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC APPROACHES AND BARRIERS TO THE INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Description

This article examines organisational and economic approaches to ensuring innovative
development in the Republic of Uzbekistan and identifies the main barriers hindering innovation processes.
The study analyses institutional, organisational, and financial mechanisms that influence the development of
the national innovation system. Particular attention is paid to the role of government policy, research and
development (R&D) financing, startup ecosystems, technology transfer, and innovation infrastructure. Based
on international experience and a comparative analysis of innovation indicators, practical recommendations are
proposed to enhance innovation activity, strengthen private sector participation, improve the commercialisation
of scientific research, and increase the competitiveness of the national economy. The findings indicate
that, despite positive progress in innovation development, further reforms are required to improve financing
mechanisms, human capital, and institutional support for innovation-driven economic growth.
