THE CONTENT AND STYLISTIC FEATURES OF PROVERBS WITH THE WATER COMPONENT IN ENGLISH

This paper examines the role, stylistic features, and linguistic importance of proverbs in the English language. It analyzes how proverbs function as carriers of cultural values, moral teachings, and collective wisdom. The study highlights their didactic, communicative, and literary roles, showing how proverbs enrich language, make speech more expressive, and reflect the worldview of English-speaking societies. Attention is also given to their structural features such as brevity, figurative meaning, imagery, and rhythm.
