This article analyzes the linguopoetic functions of metaphors and symbols in a literary text. Metaphor and symbol are one of the important tools that enhance the aesthetic impact of a work of art. Through them, the author expresses his thoughts, feelings and ideas in a figurative way. The study sheds light on the essence of metaphors and symbols, their role in the structure of a literary text and the features of their impact on the reader. The linguopoetic possibilities of metaphors and symbols are also analyzed based on examples.
