Globalization and Rural Youth: The Digital Mobilitiy – Issues and Challenges

The digital mobility’s in a changing global India is creating many challenges for the rural youth, who are experiencing crises under the influence of technology. In the current socio-economic conditions of rural youth lack the skills to use digital technology, and the spatial disparity between rural and urban areas deprives rural youth of access to new opportunities at a global level. This paper presents the socio-economic and educational correlates of unemployment among the graduated Dalit youth; it is the Sociological Study on Rural Youth in Karnataka. It focuses on understanding perceptions of social stigma by exploring the dilemmas and challenges of rural Dalit youth who have graduated, to uncover the intersections of socio- cultural factors. In this research study, an empirical field study was done using observation and interview schedule as the main method, and 400 rural youths were selected as a stratified random sample. In addition to quantitative and qualitative methods, data was collected from secondary sources such as social media, literature, and articles and the results were analyzed with the application of sociological theories.
