This book is an educational and didactic resource in comic format designed specifically to introduce children to the fascinating world of statistics and data science. Through engaging cartoon strips, charismatic characters, and relatable everyday situations (such as weather surveys, bicycle usage, or games of chance), students discover through play how to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make informed decisions in their daily lives.
In addition to the graphic stories, the book features an interactive "Escape Room" section with logical challenges and riddles based on statistical concepts, fostering teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
This resource has been developed by the Knowledge Transfer Group (GTC) on Data Science, Statistics, and Operations Research at the University of Salamanca to be used in the Summer Camps for Scientific Culture and Innovation.
