THE STABILITY PROBLEM OF COUPLED VIBRATIONS OF A BEAM WITH IMPERFECT ELASTIC CHARACTERISTICS AND DYNAMIC ABSORBERS

Description

This study investigates the stability of coupled transverse vibrations of a beam with hysteresis-type elastic–dissipative characteristics and dynamic absorbers under harmonic excitation. The conditions for stability are expressed analytically depending on the system parameters, and the results of numerical analysis along with corresponding conclusions are presented. In particular, the variation of stability conditions depending on the elastic elements of the dynamic absorbers, as well as the changes in the stability conditions of steady-state vibrations of the considered system, are analyzed.
