ROLE OF PLANT TISSUE CULTURE IN CONSERVATION OF RARE SPECIES

Description

This article examines the role of plant tissue culture techniques in the conservation of rare and endangered plant species. It discusses the principles of micropropagation, somatic embryogenesis, and cryopreservation as applied to conservation efforts, and evaluates the advantages of these methods over traditional conservation approaches. Case considerations regarding the application of tissue culture to species with limited natural populations are also presented.
