BIODEGRADATION OF DISPOSABLE DIAPERS USING MICROBIAL CONSORTIA

Description

This article reviews approaches to the biodegradation of disposable diapers using microbial consortia. It discusses the composition of disposable diapers, the environmental challenges posed by their disposal, and the microbial and enzymatic mechanisms involved in breaking down their constituent materials. The role of mixed microbial cultures in achieving efficient degradation of complex synthetic and natural components is highlighted.
