BIOTECHNOLOGICAL VALORIZATION OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PROCESSING WASTE

Description

This article reviews biotechnological approaches for converting fruit and vegetable processing waste into value-added products. It examines the composition of such waste, the microbial and enzymatic methods used for its valorization, and the range of products that can be obtained, including bioactive compounds, biofuels, and animal feed. The economic and environmental benefits of waste valorization are also discussed.
