This paper analyzes the challenges of translating behavioral verbs between English and Uzbek from a lexicographic
perspective. Focusing on entry microstructure (sense partitioning, valency frames, usage labels, examples, synonym/
antonym networks, and phraseology), it shows how asymmetries in evaluation, constructional packaging (light-verb
constructions, reflexivity, case governance), and culture-specific norms (politeness, hierarchy, religious-moral codes)
complicate equivalence.
