Holotype.

Southern Ocean • prep. ♀; East Weddell Sea, PS 67 ANDEEP III (ANT XXII / 3) exped., FS Polarstern stat. PS 67-080 - 9; 70 ° 39.07 ' S, 14 ° 43.36 ' W [- 70.6513, - 14.7227; - 70.6537, - 14.7231]; 3103 [3103–3102] m depth; 23 February 2005; Angelika Brandt leg.; epibenthic sledge; specimen dissected, with an isopod on basis of pereopod [stored in an individual vial]; ZMH - K- 042179.

Diagnosis.

Carapace with small tubercles all over the inferior margin serrated; anterior part with an arched row of teeth on each side of the pseudorostrum, an oblique row of three teeth on each side of the frontal lobe fissures, and two middorsal rows of small teeth. Telson with five cuspidate setae on each side. Pereopod 2, ischium with four strong teeth. Pereopods 3 and 4 without rudimentary exopods. Uropod endopod of two articles (after Alberico and Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2010).

Distribution.

Southern Ocean, 3103 m depth.
