Eocuma victoriae

Description

Eocuma victoriae (Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 2003)

described as Mossambicuma victoriae; revised by Haye (2007).

Holotype.

Australia • ovig. ♀; Victoria, southern dead end of Clarence River, near Yamba; stat. 165; 18 January 1976; Gerhard Hartmann & Gesa Hartmann-Schröder leg.; brackish water and mangroves; ZMH - K- 039932.

Paratypes.

* • ♂ + ovig. ♀; same data as holotype; specimens dissected; ZMH - K- 039933.

Diagnosis.

Siphonal tubes long and separated, but close together; no abrupt border between carapace and pereonite 2 (female). Maxilliped 3, basis and merus with long distal prolongations. Pereopod 1 geniculated. Pereopod 2, dactylus shorter than distal seta. Uropod peduncle shorter than pleonite 6 and rami (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2003 a).

Distribution.

Southwest Pacific, Australia, off Victoria, 0.5–1 m depth.
