Syntypes.

Australia • juv. ♀ + 2 ♀♀; Fremantle Bezirk, Mündung des Swan-River, Hafen [Western Australia, Fremantle Area, Mouth of Swan River, harbour]; Hamburger südwest-australische Forschungsreise 1905 exped.; stat. 036-1; 3 m depth; 13–14 May 1905; J. Wilhelm Michaelsen leg.; adult females with broken abdomen and telson; ZMH - K- 016043. * • ♂ + ♀; same data as ZMH - K- 016043; ZMH - K- 016045.

Remarks.

Băcescu (1988) reported additional syntypes deposited at the ZMB (ZMB 18492), which was confirmed by the ZMB Crustacea Collection team (personal communication Antje Schwiering and Kristina von Rintelen).

Diagnosis.

Carapace not dorso-ventrally flattened, no carinae but with short horns laterally directed, not reaching level of pseudorostrum anteriorly. Maxilliped 3, ischium no more than half maximal length of merus. Pereopod 1, dactylus longer than propodus. Uropod peduncle nearly quarter length of rami (after Day 1978).

Distribution.

East Indian Ocean and Southwest Pacific, Australia, off West Australia (Băcescu 1988).
