Holotype.

Australia • ovig. ♀; Western Australia, 7 km east of Dampier, Horsines Cove; stat. 37; 02 October 1975; Gerhard Hartmann & Gesa Hartmann-Schröder leg.; shell hash-sand, mangroves; ZMH - K- 039922.

Paratypes.

* • ♂; same data as holotype; specimen dissected; ZMH - K- 067679. * • subA. ♀; Western Australia, Broome, close to Willie Creek; Stat. 14–15; 02 October 1975; Gerhard Hartmann & Gesa Hartmann-Schröder leg.; dissected; ZMH - K- 067184.

Remarks.

Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2003 a) designated a single collection number for the holotype (ZMH - K- 039922 a) and paratypes (ZMH - K- 039922 b) deposited at the ZMH collections. The holotype retains the original catalogue number published in the species description (ZMH - K- 039922), whereas new collection numbers were assigned to the paratypes (see above).

Diagnosis.

Carapace with quadrilateral area on each side defined by ridges not crossing the frontal lobe and pitted structures (female). Uropod endopod unsegmented and acute; uropod exopod with two distal spines (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2003 a).

Distribution.

East Indian Ocean, off West Australia, 0.5–1 m depth.
