Climate Change: Responsibility of Each Person

Description

Humans are the main cause of climate change today, we chop down forests and burn fossil fuels, producing pollution that traps heat in the atmosphere. This is causing average temperatures to rise worldwide. That global warming trend is increasingly disrupting weather patterns all over the world. Earth has already warmed by over 1 degree Celsius since the late 19th century, before industry started to boom.

Already, farmers are struggling to keep up with shifting weather patterns. We must act now to slow the pace of global warming. Every person shares responsibility for climate change through daily choices that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, though governments and corporations bear the heaviest burden. Individual actions matter collectively but must complement systemic changes like policy reforms. Simple lifestyle shifts can reduce personal carbon footprints. e g Use public transport or energy-efficient appliances instead of private cars to lower transport and household emissions.
