A Study of Role of Government in Rural Development

In India rural areas are more prevalent than urban areas; therefore, the Indian government devices and implements numerous schemes with the objective of developing rural areas. This is done to ensure the overall rural development of the country and to boost the national economy. This research studies the challenges faced in rural development, the importance of rural development and the government’s role in achieving it. According to this study it appears that the Indian government is succeeding in its efforts towards rural development.
